Who are verified partners, and why would they need access to videos I record on Citizen?

To improve community outcomes, Citizen provides tools for verified partners, such as first responders, public safety agencies, municipalities, enterprises, and media organizations, to directly access Citizen videos.

Citizen protects your privacy by only sharing the publicly available incident information, including video streams and incident location. Private details like a user’s location, name, account details, and all other personally identifiable information are not shared. 

As a Citizen user, you have the option to opt out of sharing your live videos directly with Citizen-verified partners by disabling Verified Partner Access. However, all videos created on Citizen remain publicly viewable and downloadable.
